About Michael
Since joining the firm, Michael has assisted with a variety of employment law matters. His legal experience includes issues ranging from the FLSA to discrimination. Michael serves large and small clients in both state and federal court, as well as administrative bodies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission, and the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce. Prior to joining the Firm, Michael clerked for Federal District Court Judge, the Honorable Henry F. Floyd, who now sits on the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Michael graduated from Wofford College with a B.S. in biology and is an active alumnus with the college’s Young Alumni and Terrier Club groups. He attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as Chair of the Honor Council and as a Student Note Editor for the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal. In 2010, he was awarded the Joseph O. Rogers, Jr. Scholarship. Also while at the University of South Carolina, Michael authored two student notes. He recently became a member on the S.C. Bar’s Young Lawyers’ Division’s Professional Development Committee. Michael enjoys food, culture and history and is an avid backcountry hiker.
