Reminder: New I-9 Forms Required Beginning April 3, 2009

April, 01 2009

The U.S. Customs and Immigration Service (USCIS) previously delayed implementation of its new I-9 forms from February 2, 2009 to April 3, 2009.  Please see our previous discussions regarding the new I-9 form and the delay for more information.

Absent further delays by the government, employers will have to use the new I-9 forms for all new hires beginning on Friday, April 3, 2009.  The new forms can be downloaded from the USCIS website (www.uscis.gov/i-9) or by clicking here.
